Porage or Porridge
The definitive Scottish breakfast. Makes you big and strong and grows hair on your chest, just like the shot putter on the box. Some add salt, I prefer a dob of golden syrup.
Porage (or porridge) is oatmeal cooked up into a mush with water or milk. The common brands are Quaker and Scott’s (also owned by Quaker).
There is a sweetened version preferred by the bairns called Ready Brek.
