Scones
Pronounced skons not skowns, at least where I come fae.
Great with butter and jam, golden syrup or honey.
While Scottish scones look like American “biscuits” they are not the same – more butter in the mix I think.

McLaren’s make traditional shortbread, scone mix and also Ginger Lassie cookies. Based in California with Scottish roots, they won “The Best Traditional Shortbread” Award at the Sacramento Valley Scottish Games 2010.
